Since the system commenced in July 2012, over 13,000 invitations have been issued by the Department.

How does the Department of Immigration issue invitations?
Invitations are issued electronically.  To decide who receives an invitation, the Department ranks all EOIs in the system by their EOI Points Score, and then by their EOI entry date.  The EOI entry date is the date the EOI became eligible for consideration in each invitation round.
