The NSW Government has announced the new 2018-2019 NSW State Sponsorship List which has come into immediate effect.
The Australian Government has amended the Migration Regulations 1994 (Cth) with effect from 1 July 2017. The new regulations affect the temporary and permanent skilled migration programs. Some of the changes are retrospective, so they affect applicants who have submitted applications but whose applications have not yet been decided.
1 August 2015 – The NSW State Government has announced changes to the State Nomination Program for the permanent Subclass 190 Visa.
Effective immediately, there are two streams for NSW State Sponsorship, with a new Priority Skilled Occupation List replacing the existing State Nomination Skills List.
There are up to 4000 places available for NSW Nomination in this financial year.

The NSW Government has announced a new selection-based invitation system for State Sponsorship Applications from February 2015. This change affects applications for nomination under the Subclass 190 Visa pathway.

The NSW Government’s State Sponsorship October intake has now closed for the Subclass 190 Visa. 1000 applications were quickly generated and applicants have now been contacted by the NSW Government. Information is now available on upcoming 2015 intakes.
The NSW Government has just announced that the next intake for State Sponsorship for the Subclass 190 Visa will be on 22 October 2014 at 10am. An updated occupation list has also been published which excludes Accountants and certain ICT occupations.
Based on the latest information and news, the NSW State Government will re-open state sponsorship applications on 14 October 2014, with a new State Sponsorship List to be announced on 1 October 2014. Get ready for the October 2014 intake.
